Associate Student Ministeroffice: 919-556-1546

My amazing wife Ashley and I were married in April of 2015! We are both originally from Georgia and before moving here, we graduated from Georgia College & State University (go Bobcats!) with business degrees. We moved to Wake Forest for me to pursue my M.Div at Southeastern Seminary and have been members of North Wake since the summer of 2015. We have one incredibly beautiful baby girl, Harper, who we welcomed into the world November 2019. Some of my favorite things are spending time with family, hiking, playing frisbee, gardening, bird watching, making and drinking coffee, reading, and watching shows and movies with Ashley!

I began serving in North Wake's student ministry in 2016 and have been able to serve in increasing capacities since then. I currently serve as the associate student minister, assisting our full-time student minister Carson and serving our students and field staff volunteers. As a teen, I did not receive (or really avail myself to) intentional discipleship. I didn't know what it truly meant to follow Jesus. I love having the opportunity to invest in our students and point them to Christ as their redeemer who loves them and gave himself for them.

I asked Jesus to forgive my sin and come into my life at the age of eight. For the next ten years, there was very slow growth and maturity in my walk with Christ. When I attended college, someone discipled me for the first time, and I got to see firsthand how followers of Christ live out their faith. I began studying Scripture like I never had before and the Lord began a process of rapid change in my life. I now had an understanding that when Jesus calls someone to follow him, he intends for every area of life to be surrendered to him. Jesus is continuing his good work in me, and I trust that one day he will bring it completion! The beauty of the gospel is that though I am more sinful than I could ever fully comprehend or confess, I am more loved by Jesus than I could ever dare dream or imagine. I love Jesus because He first loved me, laying down his life for me when I was still His enemy. I'm now free to love and serve Him and others not to earn His love and forgiveness, but as responses of gratitude and worship for the love I've already received!
