I am a Christ-follower who wants to help others say "yes" to Christ. Married to the beautiful Kelly Craig for the past 31 years. I am the father of four children, Hannah, Ben, Emma, Natalie, one son-in-law, Korey and grandfather to the adorable Jack (he calls me Coach).
Because I like to eat I also like to swim and bike. I have ridden my bicycle across North Carolina twice. I studied formally at Brevard Junior College, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. I love Tar Heel Basketball.
I have served on staff at North Wake since the early days, 26 years (1993 part-time and 1994 full-time). I have been described as the Outreach Czar, meaning I oversee the sending of missionaries out from the church, near and far. I am the evangelism champion - I encourage and equip North Wakers to share their faith in Christ. I have also been dubbed the "Most Generous Man in Asia."
I came to faith in Christ by His amazing grace in the fall of 1986 and He immediately began to redirect the course of my life. Believing that God was calling me to serve in His mission overseas (specifically cross-cultural missions) I was led here to Wake Forest to attend Southeastern Seminary to study for my Master's degree. That was 28 years ago. Praise the Lord for His kindness to me.
