WHAT IS LILY MOMS?
LILY (Life in the Little Years) Moms is open to all moms who are currently loving, struggling or just surviving life with little ones between birth and kindergarten. We want to provide an open, accepting atmosphere where the specific and significant needs of today's mothers of little ones are addressed; including friendship, tips on child-rearing, marriage, managing your home and your personal life – physically, emotionally and spiritually! The years of raising little ones offer that odd combination of pure fulfillment and utter frustration! In this high-stress period of a mother's life, she goes through a wide range of emotions: joy, excitement, isolation, loneliness and exhaustion! What's a mother to do? Come join us! No one should journey through this season alone.
WONDERING ABOUT A TYPICAL LILY MOMS MEETING?
Because of Covid-19, we will not be gathering in a large group on North Wake’s campus for the foreseeable future. Instead we will be meeting in small groups around the Wake Forest/Youngsville area. We will be meeting the first and third weeks of each month October-May. We hope there is a time/place that will accommodate your schedule.
What do we do? We eat, hopefully, without kids crawling all over our lap. We talk with other moms who may be in the midst of the same struggles. We discuss certain topics relevant to life and motherhood. We do creative activities. We schedule playdates. We laugh, we cry, we share and hopefully we build lifelong friendships along the way. All while our children are i enjoying their own playing and creating new friendships.
REGISTRATION FOR LILY MOMS
Are you a mom of a child from pregnancy to kindergarten? Are you looking for encouragement, friendship and lots of fun? Then you won't want to miss out on LILY Moms this year! Click HERE to register for the 2020-20201 year.
There is a one-time registration fee of $30. Then additional fees of $40 for the fall semester and $50 for the spring semester. **Due to COVID-19 we are currently waiving the fall semester fees (and possibly spring if we do not move back on campus).** However, we never want money to be the reason you cannot attend LILY Moms, we do have scholarships to help cover costs for those who need.
LILY Moms does not discriminate based on age, race, religion, or financial status.
WONDERING WHERE YOUR CHILDREN WILL BE?
Unless you have your own childcare at the time of the meeting, the children will be coming with you. We will have some on-site childcare to help entertain the children, giving moms the most distraction-free time possible.
PAID CHILDCARE POSITIONS
If you love kids, we need you! North Wake's LILY Moms' group is in need of teachers for our LILY Kid classes (babies through five years).
