Geoffrey Hawthorne will speak to us about his experience, how the Lord has shaped his path, and the lessons he’s learned about Christlike leadership. Following his talk, we’ll have a panel discussion with leaders from various industries.

October 2-4, 2026

Join us for a weekend retreat at Ridgecrest, located in the beautiful NC mountains just east of Asheville. There will be Bible teaching, breakout discussions, and lots of time for recreation, fellowship, and rest.

We will discuss Christlike leadership, accountability, and discipleship. Don’t worry if you’ve missed other events this year– this is THE one to attend.

After check-in on Friday, you can grab dinner nearby with other men then return to the conference center for a weekend overview and time of prayer. Saturday will be a mix of teaching, breakouts, and leisure time in which you can enjoy Ridgecrest and the surrounding area. A few free time options include hiking, golfing, fishing, sporting clays, playing ball, or playing games. Sunday morning after breakfast, we will have one last group teaching time, a group discussion, and then head home. Feel free to grab lunch with others on the way home.

  • When: Friday October 2 (Check in starts at 4 PM; first meeting starts at 8 PM) to Sunday October 4 (11:30 AM), 2026.
  • Cost: Maple bunk rooms sleep six men in bunk beds and are $105 per person. Rhododendron hotel-style rooms have two queen beds and are $210 per person. Cost includes all meals on Saturday, breakfast on Sunday, and snacks/drinks during teaching sessions.
  • Deadline: Sign up by Tuesday, Sept 15th as Ridgecrest requests attendees be finalized ahead of time.
  • Roommate Request: If you have a roommate request, please provide their name(s) in the designated space on the sign-up.

Study of Genesis

Join us for this Bible study. Our approach is to work through a book of the Bible using a study method that is easily transferable to the men we are mentoring – neighbors, sons, fathers, family members – with the hope that they will transfer this method to those they are mentoring.  This will be done in a workshop setting.

  • WHEN: Saturday mornings 8:00am to 9:30am
  • WHERE: North Wake Church, Bldg. 6, Room 601
  • MAKE NOTE OF: No class on Saturday, April 4th
