A Dry & Weary Season: Encouragement For The Journey
We love the “mountain top” moments of the Christian life. These are the moments we feel so joyful, so full of contentment and assurance that we KNOW the love of Jesus. We also love the days when we close our Bibles after reading or studying and say, “Thank YOU for Your Word, Your Hope, Your Peace.”
But those times aren’t every day.
There are days (weeks? months?) when you feel you are simply going through the motions. Your heart feels empty or numb to those passages that used to bring you so much comfort. Or perhaps, you make it through a difficult crisis only to realize that this is your new normal, and your life has entered a new season that isn’t as “doable” as the one before.
