WORKSHOPS

  • Living a Creative Life (Marian Merkle) — How do you go about  seeing, making, and living with intention? Marian will share why making things with your hands is so important. There will be demonstrations and lots of ideas for creative pursuits as well as a hands-on project to complete.
  • The Old Testament: Laws, Prophets, History, Oh My!  (Mary Kathryn & Jerry Lassetter) — Does studying the Old Testament fill you with dread or intimidation? Let the Lassetters’ enthusiasm, fun and excitement for the OT open your eyes to the riches found in these pages.
  • I’m Anxious Again: Finding Rest Amidst Anxiety (Chloe Farley) — Has anxiety infiltrated your mind, or body or stolen your joy? If so, you’re not alone. We will discuss anxiety and helpful ways to combat it; we will also see how prayer is a powerful source of refuge amidst chaos. This will be both a beneficial and restful time with your fellow sisters in Christ.
  • Painting With Watercolors (Carrie Pendergrass) — This hands-on class will help you learn about and experiment with watercolors. You will leave with your own work of art.
  • Digging Into The Why’s And How’s Of Prayer (Beury Derstine) — Join Beury as she combines short teachings with application exercises to help you deepen your personal prayer life. There will also be time for Q&A.
  • The Art of Happy Plants (Amanda Miller) — So you bought or were gifted a plant….now what? This fun, beginner-friendly class covers the essentials of houseplant care from lighting, watering, repotting, and  troubleshooting to plant propagating. You may even leave with your very own plant baby to kick start the indoor jungle of your dreams.
  • Distinct by Design: Embracing Who God Made You to Be (Kim Morrisette) — Discover the beauty of your unique design in this interactive session. We will dive into scripture and use a hands-on group activity to uncover your God-given passions, joys, and gifts. God not only created you this way, but He also delights to see you living it out! Embrace who you were made to be, free from the trap of comparison and free to serve others.
  • Gathered: How to Host a Party You’ll Actually Enjoy (Claire Ramage) —Whether it’s a dinner party for six or a birthday party for 60, hosting an event in your home can be… daunting. Do you stress about perfection or avoid hosting entirely? If you can relate to either of those scenarios, this workshop is for you! We’ll discuss checklists and charcuterie, budget and bandwidth, and what the art of welcoming actually looks like — no matter what season you’re in.
  • Mom Guilt: Girl, Bye!! (Suzi Brummett, Deana Keathley, Alicia Burgess, Kendra Woods) — Come hear honest conversation and testimonies from four women in different seasons of motherhood about where mom guilt comes from, when we can learn from it, when we should let it go, and how we can give ourselves-and each other-more grace.
