WHAT IS FEED?

Feed is a ministry of North Wake Church that exists to participate in the fulfillment of the mission of the Church. It does so by giving members of NW Church a platform to reach their neighbors with the love of Jesus and to experience God’s love for themselves and others in the service of the needy. Feed is an expression of our conviction that God’s love for us extends to physical, emotional, and spiritual needs and that He is present among the poor and needy.

WHAT DO WE DO?

Feed ministry uses North Wake facilities as a Food pantry in order to address the physical needs of people in need, no matter who they are. We are aware that poverty is much more than a monetary issue, but extends to broken relationships, lack of community, and spiritual lostness. That is why, besides freely handing out toiletries and groceries, we are committed to get to know every person that we come in contact with. Practically, we take the time to engage in meaningful conversations, pray for every person we encounter, and witness to the gospel, expecting God to inwardly and outwardly work in their lives.

At Feed every serving member of North Wake is trained in overcoming prejudices, engaging lovingly with strangers, sharing the gospel, praying for and with people, and building relationships with the lost. We encourage and model for one another how to do this thoughtfully and help one another through feedback and prayer to take the next step in our discipleship to Jesus.

WHAT DO WE WANT TO SEE?

Feed ministry wants to see members of North Wake encounter God by seeing him at work in the lives of the poor. We desire genuine friendships between church members and people of the community that go beyond the time on Sunday morning. Ultimately, we want to see people getting to know Jesus, learning how to live as Christ followers, and being part of a Christian community, either at North Wake or another established church, or a new group of believers in their environment.
