Lily Moms

LILY Moms, which stands for Life in the Little Years, is open to all moms who are currently loving, struggling, or just surviving life with little ones between birth and kindergarten. We want to provide an open, accepting atmosphere where the specific and significant needs of today’s mothers of little ones are addressed, including friendship as well as tips on child-rearing, marriage, and managing your home and your personal life – physically, emotionally and spiritually! The years of raising little ones offer that odd combination of pure fulfillment and utter frustration! In this high stress period of a mother’s life, she goes through a wide range of emotions: joy, excitement, isolation, loneliness and exhaustion! What’s a mother to do? Come join us! No one should journey through this season alone.

We meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month from October through May, 9am – 11:30am at North Wake Church, 1212 South Main Street, Wake Forest, NC.

We eat breakfast…uninterrupted! We talk with other moms who may be in the midst of the same struggles; we discuss certain topics relevant to life and motherhood; we do creative activities; we schedule playdates; we laugh, and we cry; we share; and hopefully, we build lifelong friendships along the way. We do all of this while our children are in childcare enjoying their own learning, creating, and forming new friendships.

There is a one-time registration fee of $30. There are also additional fees of $40 for the fall semester and $50 for the spring semester. These help offset the cost of paid childcare. Full and partial scholarships are available. Space is limited, so register soon! LILY Moms does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, religion, or financial status.

We also provide a loving, quality care for your preschoolers through LILY Kids, which is a preschool-like setting offering crafts, music, story time, and snack time. Each classroom has two teachers as well as student helpers from various high school programs.

If you love kids, we need you! North Wake’s LILY Moms group is in need of teachers for our LILY Kid classes (babies through five years). We meet at North Wake church on the first and third Wednesday mornings of each month from October through May. Teachers are expected to be present from 8:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. The pay is $30 per meeting.
