War has hit Ukraine and as it rages on, many people suffer. When a world crisis happens, Christians are often the first on the scene. Christians move toward the crisis to help those who are suffering the most. There are many Christian organizations that are mobilizing to offer compassion and care for hurting Ukrainians. As you think about financially supporting their work, it’s important to know that you can trust the organizations to which you are giving to effectively use your donation to help those who need it most. Below are a few links to Christian relief organizations that we, North Wake Church, have a connection to and also a few other international organizations that have been examined and rated for donation confidence (transparency) and financial efficiency (funds put to ministry use).
- The International Mission Board – SEND HOPE – Through Send Relief, IMB personnel and their local partners are actively ministering to Ukrainians escaping the escalating war. 100% of your gift is used to provide emergency supplies, water, shelter, and clothing and to show the love of Christ in practical ways. To give, go to https://www.imb.org/ukraine.
- Equipped for Life – David Horner, (former pastor of NW’s mother church, Providence Baptist in Raleigh) is leading EFL in its work with churches in Ukraine. To support EFL, mail a check to: Equipped for Life, 1037 Golden Star Way, Wake Forest, NC 27587. Please include Ukrainian Relief on the memo line. You can give on the web at www.equippedforlife.org.
- Samaritan’s Purse – North Waker FFF Keverly Dyson is currently in Europe serving with Samaritan’s Purse in their work with Ukrainian refugees. For more information or to give, go to https://www.samaritanspurse.org/article/updates-from-the-field-medical-interventions-in-ukraine-and-moldova/.
Pray to the Lord for the end of these terrible hostilities in Ukraine, for the salvation of the leaders and their invading armies, and for the people of Ukraine. May the Lord use your gifts to glorify His Name in Ukraine and among all the Nations!
