A Time for Remembering and Reflecting
Read: Romans 16:25-27
25 Now to him who is able to strengthen you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery that was kept secret for long ages 26 but has now been disclosed and through the prophetic writings has been made known to all nations, according to the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of faith— 27 to the only wise God be glory forevermore through Jesus Christ! Amen.
On Grace and Transformation
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Romans 12:2)
Reflection:
What specific “patterns” or ways of thinking from the surrounding culture are you most tempted to adopt, and what actionable steps can you take to renew your mind daily?
On Struggle and Deliverance
“What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!” (Romans 7:24-25)
Reflection: What is a recurring personal weakness or habit that leaves you feeling defeated, and how can you actively surrender that specific struggle to God’s grace instead of relying on your own willpower?
On Judgment and Empathy
“You, then, why do you judge your brother or sister? Or why do you treat them with contempt? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat.” (Romans 14:10)
Reflection: Where are you currently harboring judgment or criticism toward a fellow believer, and how might shifting your focus toward your own personal accountability change the way you treat them?
