As we begin our study of the book of Jonah this Sunday (2/2/20), here are some resources for you to consider as you study the book personally:

  1. A helpful overview video of the book – by the creative folks at the Bible Project.
  2. A free commentary online – by Prof. Tom Constable
  3. Background info.
  4. Wonderful teaching on the book in the form of a book! – Tim Keller is so insightful in his book “The Prodigal Prophet”.  Highly recommended by Carson Cobb. You can buy it from Amazon:
  5. Legit Commentary – I am working with Bryan Estelle’s commentary, “Salvation through Judgment and Mercy” and am finding it very insightful.  Amazon has it:
  6. Our own Prof. Ronjour Locke recommends the commentary by Redmond in the Christ-Centered Exposition Commentary set as well.
  7. And here is a Small Group Guide – Summit View church worked hard on this piece.  You may find it useful for your small group:
Enjoy!
