Facet of Christ (Day 30)

He is incapable of disgust over his sisters and brothers, even his sinning sisters and brothers. Dane Ortlund 15 When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Feed my lambs.” 16 He said to him a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love

Facet of Christ (Day 29)

His life and death means that if we have Jesus, our sin can only accelerate his grace. Where sin abounds, grace hyper-abounds. Dane Ortlund 20 Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, (Romans 5:20)

Facet of Christ (Day 28)

In all our stumbling and failing, he has not yet said, ‘Enough is enough. I’m out.’ Dane Ortlund 5 Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” 6 So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”
