[Leader] Jesus, you promise to come again for us. You say “Surely, I am coming soon.” And we, your church respond:

[Congregation] Come, Lord Jesus!

Our Father has trained us to renounce ungodliness, and promises us a blessed hope of your visible return.

Let us see you, so Come, Lord Jesus!

You have a crown of righteousness — your own righteousness — for each one of us who love your appearing.

Come, Lord Jesus!

We endure suffering and sickness in these lowly bodies, but we know you will transform this to be like your glorious body.

We beg to be able to see you fully, as you really are, so we need you to Come, Lord Jesus!

Jesus, you already dealt with our sin when you came at first, and made us who trust you to be righteousness. But the wrath of God is coming to this world in fire and heat, so we ask you,

Come, Lord Jesus, and deliver us from the wrath to come!

Here at North Wake, please help us call one another to be reconciled to God, plead with one another to fight sin, meeting together and working in your mighty strength to provoke each other to love and good works —

So with our lives we ask you, come, Lord Jesus!

We are confident you have gone to prepare a place for us, in heaven where we have permanent citizenship, and an eternal inheritance.

We long for you to Come, Lord Jesus, and meet us in the air so we can be with you forever!

We know you are patiently giving us the time to go in your power to every tribe, every family, and every language, since you are not willing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. So we ask you to open blind eyes and deaf ears.

And give us boldness and open doors, so that every one of our children, all of our family, and every friend will join with us as we ask you to come, Lord Jesus!

Lord, we ask your help — Father, send out messengers for the harvest! Let us preach the     news of your kingdom throughout the whole world!

Speed our work, and let us hasten the day that you Come, Lord Jesus!

Lord Jesus, you are the superior over all Presidents, all Dictators, all Kings. But your Kingdom is not fully revealed today: the evil of oppression and violence in our country proves your will is not followed here on earth. So we ask,

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.

Your kingdom come, your will be done,

on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

Revelation 22:20 He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!

2 Timothy 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.

2 Peter 3:8 But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed. 11 Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, 12 waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn!

Luke 12:35-36  Stay dressed for action and keep your lamps burning, 36 and be like men who are waiting for their master to come home from the wedding feast, so that they may open the door to him at once when he comes and knocks.

Matthew 24:44 Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

Philippians 1:6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

James 5:7-8  Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains. 8 You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

John 14:3-4 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. 4 And you know the way to where I am going.”

Philippians 3:20-21 But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.

Colossians 3:4 When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
